Boveda works using a saltwater solution that disperses pure water vapour molecules that create a monolayer shield around your herb's trichomes in order to shield its' more precious components. Of equal importance is that the Boveda packs work to alter the relative humidity (RH) to the optimum levels, maintaining a consistent feedback loop which maintains a reliable level. 

Relative humidity levels are of critical importance as surplus humidity can lead to unhealthy moulds and over-drying can impact quality and effects. 

Boveda provides the cleanest and most purified humidity of all other products available on the market today. It is also more cost-effective than the typical humidity packs that are made up of a combination of water and glycerin, studies have indicated one Boveda pack will outperform 6 of these. Moreover they do not protect trichome.

The proprietary saline solution is sealed in Boveda's proprietary vapor phase Reverse Osmosis membrane. The excess salt in the packaging allows Boveda to create a constant RH for the stored herbs. Water vapor is released or absorbed into the sachet as needed to maintain a perfect humidity level, which means that the ratio of salt to water changes as the salt changes from a solid as it absorbs more water in the package. When more water is released, the salt re-solidifies; fundamentally, water vapour is the only element that passes through the leak-proof membrane which creates the monolayer shield. Salt will never come into contact with your herbs, so you can be sure that nothing other than pure water vapour will touch your products & that you are protecting your goods properly. *Within a closed desktop humidor or CVault Boveda maintains a predetermined level of (RH) by releasing or absorbing purified water-vapor, as needed, through the membrane. 

Note: Do not mix Boveda RH levels within the same humidor, and do not use Boveda in the same humidor with other humidification products. They will fight against each other and reduce the efficiency of the Boveda.
